Privacy Policy
Peak Vinyl Club ("we," "the Club") is a 501(c)(7) social club in Colorado. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We do not sell member data.
Information we collect
- Membership and application. Name, email address, and any information you provide in your membership application (e.g., why you want to join, invite code).
- Payment. Dues and event payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive and store only what Stripe provides (e.g., last four digits, billing details you choose to share) for records and support.
- Member directory and profile. If you are a member, we maintain a member directory (name, email, and optional profile details) for use by other members in accordance with our bylaws. You can control directory visibility in your member settings.
- Events and communications. RSVPs, event check-ins, and correspondence. We use email to send event invites, club updates, and transactional messages (e.g., renewal reminders).
- Website use. We may collect basic usage data (e.g., pages visited) to improve the site. We do not use advertising trackers or sell analytics to third parties.
How we use your information
We use the information above to run the Club: process memberships and dues, manage events and RSVPs, maintain the member directory, send club communications, and comply with our legal and tax obligations as a 501(c)(7) organization (including revenue classification and member-roster requirements under Colorado law).
How we protect your information
Member and application data are stored using industry-standard providers (e.g., Firebase, Stripe). Access is restricted to authorized club staff and the board as needed to operate the Club. We do not sell, rent, or share member data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. We may share information only as required by law (e.g., in response to a valid legal process) or with service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality (e.g., email delivery, payment processing).
Member roster and Colorado law
Under Colorado law (C.R.S. § 7-136-102), members have the right to inspect the membership list for a proper purpose. Use of the list for commercial or solicitation purposes is prohibited (C.R.S. § 7-136-105). We do not expose the full member roster to the public or to unauthenticated users.
Your choices and requests
Members can update profile and directory visibility in the member area. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask questions about this policy, contact us at join@peakvinyl.club. Colorado residents may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act; we will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Material changes will be communicated to members via email or a notice on the site.
